 Joint Mental Health Research & Innovation Day 2023

The Future of Mental Health Research, Innovation, and Practice

Highlights

Hello everyone,

We are thrilled to share that we had a very successful Joint Mental Health Research and Innovation Day this past Wednesday at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn.  We had a great turnout of 147 people for our first in-person annual research conference since 2019.  Those in attendance had the opportunity to learn about the excellent quality and breadth of local mental health and addiction research and innovation projects and initiatives.

We would like to especially thank our dynamic and thought-provoking keynote speaker, Dr. David Benrimoh, our panelists, oral & poster presenters, planning committee members, evaluators, and moderators for making our event a tremendous success!  A special shout-out to our staff: Nattasha Clements, Nicole North, Renee Hunt, Gojjam Limenih, Julie Walsh and Taryn Sendzik for all their efforts and contributions behind the scene. It truly takes a team to pull off such an event and we are so fortunate for having such a great team.

We are pleased to congratulate our day's awardees!

   2. Identifying functions of specific neurons and neural networks involved in brain diseases or injuries and developing therapeutic interventions to alter these;
